Wedding Showers

I know, you all thought I was finished with wedding posts. I really was...but when I saw that "Kelly's Korner" was doing a wedding-shower-show-off on her "Show Us Your Life", it gave me the perfect opportunity to show a few more things.

I was blessed to have 6 showers! It was such a humbling experience!!! There are two that I want to share on here that might give some of you an idea when its your turn to throw a shower. I know this post is supposed to be about a shower that I've given, but my most recent parties I've done have been for babies or birthdays. Plus, I don't know if I could top these two anyway. :) My mom and I surrounded by talented people, but wouldn't you know that one of these showers was thrown by my best friend, and the other was thrown by my mom's best friend. Both were beautiful and the little details were what made it. :)

Meet my best friend (and sister-by-choice), Michelle! While she did have help from my other bridesmaids, she was the inventor and creator of the entire shower. She did an amazing job on the execution!!!! The whole thing was absolutely beautiful! What I love about Michelle is that she and I do showers the same. We love picking a color scheme over a theme. Then you can add little traces of a "theme" into the shower. The colors were hot pink and black and to add some of my personality into it they used SHOES! :) I love me some shoes!!!!! This is the entrance: All the decorating details: The sign-in book: The Tables and Food (we had my favorite chicken salad sandwiches from a local bakery, potato chips, salad, shoe-shaped-cookies, and water....all sweetly packaged in shoe boxes!): The Candy Bar and my favorite dessert (cupcakes): The favors: What'd I tell ya? Beautiful!!!!

The very next day, my mom's best friend, Millie threw me another incredible shower! Meet Millie! She also had plenty of help from two other beautiful women that have been friends of our family for a long time, Jennifer and Linda (my mom is to the far left). These ladies have loved me for as long as I can remember and I am so blessed that they threw such a gorgeous shower. Let's start with the FOOD (the pictures show just the appetizers, but there were some incredible salads and food and rolls too)! The Dessert (my two favorites...chocolate and coconut): The Decorations: The Tables (each setting had a napkin with a hand-made napkin ring, each having a different wedding-saying on them. The favors were also placed on each setting. And, the centerpieces were beatuifully done in my wedding colors): The Favors (a CD with lots of love songs, including my mom and dad's song and my husband's parents' song. It was so cute with one our engagement pictures as the label...thanks, Valerie!): I'm so thankful the best friends God has given my mom and me! We couldn't have asked for better women to love us, grow us, grieve with us, laugh with us, travel with us, and CELEBRATE with us!
