What were we up to in July? A whole lot of this...
Yep. Sleep. At the end of June, I got some kind of virus that seriously put me out for at least 10 days. The flu-like symptoms (thankfully, no fever though) were gone, but the cough stuck around, so I went to see the doctor. He told me that the virus had become bronchitis, so I was on antibiotics for another 10 days. On my 5th day of me being on antibiotics, the hubs started feeling bad. I was surprised that he was "catching" what I had this late in my sickness. However, we soon learned that it probably wasn't from me. The following day, he started running a fever. Both of us are clueless with fever. I just knew if it got too high we would need to go to the hospital. We didn't know that its very unlikely for adults to get a fever and have one for DAYS! So, we finally took him in and we learned he had pneumonia. Poor guy had fever for a total of 10 days. He was miserable!!!! They finally gave hims so good antibiotics and the fever broke. He felt pretty bad for days after that too, but he was so thankful for the fever to finally be gone.
The joke around our house was that we decided to call July a "wash". We were both so sick that we were inside for a MONTH! I was starting to get stir-crazy so I finally took the dogs to Tulsa one day and spent the day with my dad. It was amazing!!! Just to have company and someone to hang out with and to be dressed and out of the house was awesome!!! And, it was really nice to spend a day with my dad. :) We don't get many of those.
Needless, to say our time indoors was uneventful. The only thing we managed to do together was enjoy fireworks on the 4th from our backyard. I was miserable, but I managed to actually get dressed and enjoy the weather.
We celebrated Rossi's FIRST birthday!!! I was "that" parent who did it up big for the "first born" (Ruger), but forgot to take pictures when I gave Rossi her presents. So...here is Rossi with her presents after she shredded them and her card from the C-Family!
And, I was able to get out to do some photo sessions too and meet some new people. And, while I was out I got some pictures of my alma mater. :)
The rest of our joke was that we would resume life on August 1st. That's exactly what we did.
