The Blizzard of '09 hit on Christmas Eve! Its been a crazy day!!! Thankfully I got all my errands out of the way when we got home last night b/c we thought it might get bad...and it did!!!! The rain/sleet started between 7-8am. I could hear it hitting the windows while I was sleeping. I was hoping to wake up to snow, but no such luck. I took the dogs out and it was sleeting so hard, it hurt when it hit my face. The snow started around 10:30 or 11am. The flakes were HUGE!!! And it just never stopped! The govenor declared a state of emergency and was bringing in the military for aide. Tomorrow they are supposed to bring in helicopters to help any people that are still stranded in their cars. Too many people were out trying to get their last minute shopping finished....in one part of the state, there was a 50 car pile up. It was a crazy mess!!! Its beautiful, but I disappointed that my parents won't be able to make it here tomorrow for Christmas! Hopefully they make it late in the weekend!

As of now, the wind is still blowing like crazy! Can't tell if its still snowing b/c the wind is so hard it could just be stirring things up. Can't wait to see what it all looks like in the morning!
