God's Goodness

November 13 - Yesterday I was able to spend time with Crystal, my friend that has cancer. People from our church have been going to her house in shifts to help with whatever they can. Some are even just sitting with her and keeping her company. Last night, I was able to spend some time there. It was hard for me to see her not as her usual self, but I am so very thankful to have been able to spend some time with her. She can't talk much, but she was in good spirits and sat in the living room with me, her daughter, a friend, and another girl from church while we talked and laughed.

I have something else to be thankful for from yesterday too. Our pastor's daughter, Katherine, suffered a head injury yesterday. She had to be life-flighted to St. Francis and had surgery there last night to remove blood clotting and stop the bleeding. The 2 hour surgery ended up taking only about 45 minutes. The surgeon said it was MUCH better than originally thought. The surgery went very well and Katherine is doing great. She was up talking this morning, just like normal! I am so thankful for her and the dr's that were over her....and the prayers of our church family!!!
