Unconditional Love

November 11 - My Mom and Dad!!! I am so thankful for my parents. There aren't enough words to tell everyone how much they do for me and the rest of our family. As my mom and I were talking yesterday, I became so thankful for the unconditional love that she and my dad give my brothers, their families and me. I know they aren't perfect, but I also know that in everything they do they want what is God's best for us. No matter where we have been, what we have gone through, what we are going through....they are there with love and support. I wish I could list the numerous ways they show there support for each of us. Each one of the 14 of us (yes, that includes Ken) can tell of their love and support. I can't imagine being a parent and watching your kids go through certain things...but I hope that the joys, celebrations, and smiles outweigh the trial and heartbreaks they have seen us all go through. I hope that they can look at us and see Christ in us and know that each trial was completely worth it. I hope that one day I will be as loving of a parent as they have been to me! I love you mom and dad!!! With all my heart!

As you will experience one day, it isnt hard to love your children and you always want whats best for them. As I have said many times, I wish I could have done my job perfectly, but then if I had, you wouldnt have needed the Saviour.
I am so very grateful that the Lord has done a superb job building His character in you. That is all the reward a parent could ask for is that their chldren follow Him all the days of their lives. That they teach their children and remind them to teach every generation that follows.
Thank you for proclaiming your gratefulness. I think this would be a great tool to use in teaching your children the gift of gratefulness. It is too easy to let the good things fly out the window and we hang onto the unpleasant too long!
Love you always,
Mom
