This was the initial vision for our wedding! I saw this picture when I first started planning and I was absolutely smitten! This is where I got my idea for purple! I had never wanted to use such a trendy color, but I was excited to use it! My problem with this dress is that its Vera Wang. Not that there's anything wrong with Vera, but she's just not in my budget! :) While I was at JJ Kelly's, I saw the dress that you see to your left. I wasn't really impressed with the material. I thought it would be heavier....it was pretty slinky.

My favorite is the one on the right!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I love the two tone and I love the big flower!!!! My plan was to talk to Moe about it and see if he could re-create it.

Here are other dresses that I really liked too! Most of the dresses, I was thinking about doing in purple, but this first dress I saw a long time ago and LOVE the burgundy!!! This is why I used this color. I knew I couldn't use it alone, but I just love it! So, here was my second color (and orange was brought in just b/c I've wanted to use it since I was at OSU).

The following dresses are ones that Michelle went and tried on at a bridal shop in OKC. She was such a big help with the dresses b/c it helped to actually see the styles I liked on a real person! And it helped b/c I got to see a dress similar to the Vera Wang dress I liked. I did NOT like how the colors photographed though! I didn't like the way the top color came out in the picture...plus I wasn't even that excited about how the dark purple looked. And, if you know me, you know that I was BIG on pictures! I wanted our wedding to look the best it could!!!! Pictures are all we have!!! :)

The yellow one was just an idea of what we were looking for, but we would do it in a different color. It also made me realize how much I like the "trumpet" look and not just a dress that's straight down. The "trumpet" gives it a little flare...really!

And this last one I liked, but I wasn't fan of the seem that went across her knee. It gave me a good idea of the trumpet look I liked and how we could fix it to be exactly what I was looking for.

At this point, I just want all of you to know that I was never the bride that picked a formal dress and told my bridesmaids that they could "wear it again". I knew they wouldn't...and with that said, my gift to them was to pay for their dresses. I didn't want each of them to pay over $100 for a dress that they didn't pick out and would never wear it again. Stay tuned to see what we came up with!!!! :)

Can you get married again so that i can wear more bridesmaid dresses? Of course, I loved the one that you went with from Moe, but I'm really digging the black one shouldered one with the bow! Too cute!
