~It snowed at the end of January, but after midnight on February 1st, Ken went outside and got enough snow for me to make snow ice cream!!!! It was my first time making it and it was pretty yummy....next time less sugar! :)
~Continuing my efforts to lose weight without going back to weight watchers. Its slow, but its ok. I still consider going back, but only time will tell. Just trying to cut out "special occassion" treats, more fruit and veggies, and working out more!
~Loving my friend Tia's Pump and Tone class. Trying to make it twice a week. I can definitely tell I'm getting stronger.
~Started looking at remodeling costs for our upstairs
~We have a new dog-sitter...LACIE...but not for long b/c her ministry job will be taking her from us soon. While we are excited that she is being obedient and following where God is leading her, we aren't too excited for her to leave. :(
~Kenny hurt his knee at work and was on light load for about 3 weeks. In this time, we enjoyed having our weekends off together.
~We spent the night in OKC with Michelle and Devin. They opened their home to us so Ken could go to a dr's appt early the next morning. The night we got there, we had a nice double-date at Belle Isle Brewery. The food was ok, but it was REALLY nice to spend time as couples.
~ Ken turned 35!!! We spent the day in OKC, but not really by choice. His dr's appt for his knee was there, so we just made a day of it. How sad that he had to go to the dr on his birthday!!!! I tried to make it as good as possible, by setting him up on a "date" with Finley!!!! :) We met Michelle and Finley at The Olive Garden for his birthday lunch and then hit the mall and Cheesecake Factory for dessert for later that evening!

~We were so hoping that the Vikings would go to the Super Bowl and were sad they lost out...one game early!
~We celebrated our first married Valentine's Day!!!! :) You can read more about that here. But I am reposting this picture to show that it SNOWED AGAIN!!!!!
~I was able to babysit Finley while her mommy was getting her hair done. It was really fun, but Finley decided to be shy. She was VERY quiet...which is very unusual, but it was still really fun. We always jump at the chance to get her!!! It gave me an idea of what its like to carry around a baby and another bag and get in and out of a car, etc. YIKES!
~Had lunch with my friend Tommie Lee
~Lunch with my friend Lorinda
~Worked on a surprise birthday party for my Sister-in-Law, Kim's 40th birthday. (There will be an entire post about this coming soon!!!).
~Started doing "So Long Insecurity" book study on Beth Moore's blog.
~After church on Sunday morning, we had lunch with our pastor, JB, and his wife, Jean, Lacie and Amanda
~Ken is finally getting REALLY good at flying his helicopter. After Christmas, he thought he was going to give up on it, but he really figured it out and is having fun with it.

~Still loving Biggest Loser and Project Runway...watched a little of American Idol, but not a lot yet.
~ Still addicted to "The Bachelor", but are VERY disappointed in the spoilers we've read. We are still holding out hope that Jake picks well....we will find out tomorrow night...
~We've had multiple girls' nights or lunches with the girls at work....Mazzio's, Texas Roadhouse, Swicks, and Goldies. Its been really fun!!!
~Kim's surprise party was a huge success!!! Mark and I had a lot of fun and it all went really, really well. Here is just one picture from the fun night!

~Ken and I tried out Angel Food Ministries for the first time and we have loved it!!! We got great fruit and veggies!!! We have quite a bit of meat, but we haven't used it yet.
~Had a really fun night in Midwest City with some of Ken's friends, Josh and Megan! We had dinner at Logan's and then visited more at their home. I hope we can spend more time with them in the future!!!
~I have completed two knitting projects. I made blankets for a couple babies that were born this year.
~Our friend, Kacey, from work got a new job in Texas and we said good bye to her this last week. It was sad to see her go, but I know she is going to have a wonderful life there!!! I will post her "goodbye" party pictures later.
~I've tried some new recipes and they have all been successful. I haven't been very good at blogging all of them, but hopefully I will get better next month.
~OSU Men's Basketball beat Kansas, the #1 team in the nation!!! It was a fantastic and exciting game!!!! MARCH MADNESS is coming!!! We have one more home game and then Big 12 Tourney starts! I cannot wait!!
~I think I've made 3 batches of sugar cookies for different events!!!
~Ken is off light duty and back to his regular schedule and we are both loving it!!!
~We made final decisions on our home renovations, but you will have to wait for next month to see pictures of that! :)
~My longest-time (we've known each other since kindergarten), wonderful friend, Jamie, had her 2nd baby. They named her Holly and I can't wait to meet her.
~My brother turned 39.
~Ken's sister had her second child and they named him Ethan.
~Ruger has a new word that he seems to like..."Posse". So this is what he does when we say it...or ask, "Ruger, whose Posse are you in?" Its hysterical!!!
~Movies we watched: "Obsession" (loved it!); "The Time Traveler's Wife"...we rented 2 others, but I can't remember what they were.
~This is the stupid (but pretty) woodpecker that woke us up on Saturday morning before 8am. He moved from this tree where we saw him last week, to our house....right outside out bedroom!!!! There are perfectly good trees for him to use. Its like he KNEW it was Saturday!!!
Well, thats about it! It was a fun month, but I am really excited about March. Like I said March Madness!!! There are even more fun things to look forward to...Ken's helicopter flight, my friend's wedding, my nephew coming to stay with us, a friend's bridal shower, and I'm sure there will be much, much more!!!!

Knitting! Well, I, for one, am impressed. That's something I've always wanted to learn.
And double-stuffed sweet potatoes? I'm thinkin' you'd better get that recipe and share it with the rest of us. Sounds delicious!
