Renovations, Part 1

Renovations of our home started this week!!! I'm so excited b/c I never, in a million years, thought we would start this soon. My poor husband probably thought we could have started a lot earlier (like before I moved in)...however, we now have the finances and the time to get started. Again....I'm SO excited!!!! And the more they get finished, the more excited I get!

We decided to start upstairs, which consists of a loft area, a single closet, a half bath, and a bedroom with a semi-walk-in closet. The main reason we started upstairs is b/c its going to be our master suite. When I first moved in, we weren't even thinking of renovating this area. Ken's friend, Jeff, gave him the idea...and I am so thankful! It definitely gave it a "face-lift".

Here are some "before" and "during" pictures of this renovation!!!! And please excuse the HORRIBLE mess!!!! Once the renovations are done, we will FINALLY get settled!

I'm getting a SHOE CLOSET!!!! And guess whose idea it was???? My sweet, wonderful husband's!!!! He knew that I was feeling a little unsettled with my stuff everywhere and thought I could definitely use a closet just for my shoes! :) I feel like Carrie on "Sex in the City: The Movie" when Mr. Big builds a new closet for her. I know, I know...I live in the country. In a little country house that could probably fit in her penthouse, but STILL!!!! I'm getting a SHOE CLOSET!!!!
