Let's Talk Wedding: Rings

Rings were pretty easy for us. I think I told Ken one time what I liked, and that is exactly what I got. :) Its my absolute favorite!!! I wanted a single round solitaire with a white gold band in a cathedral setting. He did a PERFECT job!!!

As for our wedding bands, we really weren't interested in surprising each other. If you know us at all, you know we are terrible at keep secrets from each other anyway. After we were engaged, I was ALWAYS looking at wedding magazines. When they had good men's band sections, we would look at them together to get ideas. A lot of times, I would like something more than he did and visa versa....but we finally found a couple that we really liked! Ken really liked the idea of buying our rings at a local jeweler...for sentimental reasons (its where we met and live) and for logical reasons (we were helping our home economic situation). He got my engagement ring locally and had such a good experience that we got his wedding band there too. Jackson's was wonderful!

Since we were on somewhat of a budget and didn't really hold back on our rings, we decided that we didn't want to splurge on my wedding band. I really wanted diamonds in my band, but didn't want to spend a lot. When my mom, Michelle and I went to the Market in Dallas, I was able to shop for my band. I found exactly what I wanted, in exactly the price range we wanted.
