Let's Talk Wedding: The Kids' Attire, Part 1

Since I had changed my mind on my attendants wearing purple, I thought it would be great for the Junior Bridesmaids to wear the "lapis" color. It was cheaper to have them wear something from David's Bridal than it was for Moe to custom make theirs. Also, they would have had to travel to get dress fittings from him, so it was easier to send them to their local David's Bridal shop. I wish I had pictures from the day we all met up to have the girls try their dresses on, but (again) I don't. I have a picture-addiction and for some reason, I didn't have my camera at certain times.

If you remember, Raley went with me to dress shop...and while were at David's Bridal, I had her try on dresses for me so she could help pick out which one was the best. These were the two we liked the most. The second one was the best fit for the wedding though:

This was Raley's favorite too. I'm pretty sure they all liked the dress! When I showed it to Kylie, she asked if it was hers to keep forever...that was very exciting to her. :)

As for the flower girls, these were some ideas I had pulled from magazines and Michelle had seen at a bridal shop. However, I really wanted something different and not the traditional cute little girl dresses. So, I decided to use a CLOSER talent!!!! Michelle had started making amazing outfits for Finley after she was born. She was making bows and tutu's and anything you can think of. As a gift for someone in her family, she decided to make a tutu-dress. Click HERE to see where she got the inspiration for the gift. And here is the finished look she made for the gift (of course, Finley had to be the model):

From those pictures, I thought that was the BEST idea for my flower girl and junior flower girl! Michelle said she didn't mind making them at all and she did a GREAT job!!! I chose dark purple for the girls to wear so they would match the junior bridesmaids. Michelle also made the cutest dark purple satin mary-janes for the two flower girls! I so wish we had remembered to get a close up picture of them! They were too cute!!!
The boys were pretty easy to dress. I knew they were going to be in tuxes. The Junior Groomsmen got theirs at Men's Warehouse so their vests would match the Junior Bridesmaids dress color. David's Bridal and Men's Warehouse team up with colors to make that easier on brides. The picture below actually shows the "lapis" vest and tie with the black tux. It was exactly what they wore.
The Ring Bearer and Junior Ring Bearer also wore tuxes. Both Caleb and Tyler were too little to rent theirs, so we bought them. They both looked adorable in their suits!!!!
