Ken and I celebrated our first anniversary on October 3, 2010. It was a very fast year and it still seems like just yesterday that we were saying our vows! Its incredible how much more I love him and how much more I know him! I knew that it would just get better, but it truly is incredible to me married to my best friend!
For our anniversary, we had to celebrate a few days early because Ken was working on the 3rd. We decided to keep it low-key since we were going on a trip a few weeks later. We had a great date night at Texas Roadhouse....but our celebrating lasted into the week with a trip to Tulsa.

The week after our anniversary, we went to Tulsa. We ordered a replica of our wedding cake (top layer) and it was FAB-U-LOUS!!!!!! We were able to share it with my parents and THEN....it was off to the Tulsa State Fair!!!!!! YAY!!!! My favorite time of year!!!!!!!! This year, sadly my mom was sick and she didn't get to go with us. I hated it! It just wasn't the same, but we still had a great time with my dad!
First things first...we woke up and headed to Okmulgee to Ms. Laura's to get our cake. Now, I am in LOVE with CAKE!!!! I love it!!!! So it was pretty sad when I walked into get a cake and left with a mini-cupcake as well. But, I couldn't turn it down!!!! It was PUMPKIN!!!!! And SUPER delish!

Our amazing, fabulous, yummy cake!!!! It is Italian Cream with Cream cheese filling!!!! YUM! :)

We had to document Ken making fun of me for how excited I was about the cake. Seriously, cake could be my favorite food....and Ken just thinks its funny!

Right before we left for our traditional trip to the fair! I saved Ken and my dad from the torture of me taking pictures while at the fair....AS LONG AS they let me take some before we left!

My mom had just gotten home from her dr's appointment and snapped one of her and dad before she got in her comfy clothes. We missed her, but she'll be with us next year!

The fair was GREAT! We ate and ate and ate!!!! Hamburgers, grilled corn on the cob, fried cajun shrimp, crawfish stuffed with etiffoue (?), fried green tomatoes, fried cheese curds, pretzel, corndogs, steak tip dinner, and who knows what else! I love going with a group b/c we all get what sounds good and just share! Looking forward to next year!

Beth -- Happy one year! Wow, it did fly by and you two are still as cute as ever. If we get to see you this weekend you better not wear those boots and take them off @ my house or you might not leave with them. Okay, if you LOVE cake, you must absolutely must at some point have the Byerly's white on white cake in Minnesota. It's a grocery store and the cake is just beyond delicious. So much, that when my mom and aunt come into town they always make me get one for NO reason other than it's so very delicious! Love you guys! And I loved the Fall decor at the front entrance of your parent's house, it looks beautiful!
