Texas Vacation: Day 1

We took a small trip to Texas this year. A friend of mine that used to work where I do, was getting married, so we decided to schedule our annual trip at that time....which happened to be last month.

We left on a Friday. We weren't in any hurry, so we actually got up and packed that morning. I think we headed out around 9 or 10am. We grabbed coffee and some breakfast and were on the road.

We'd never been where we were headed, so we decided to drive around so we knew how to get to the wedding. We stopped by the chapel first and then headed to the hotel. We were STARVING by the time got to hotel and checked in. We were so excited to eat at Babe's, which is one of our favorite places to eat when we are in Texas. However, Babes was closed. So, we drove to a place we saw on the way in and were happy to see they were open at 3:30pm. Mattito's. It was so yummy! We weren't very picky b/c we were so hungry, but we were pleased with the choice. The restaurant was on the corner of Frisco Square. This little square was super cute!!! There are shops, dance studios, apartments, restaurants, pubs and Dimples Cupcakes!!! I got their pumpkin cupcake. I didn't eat it until later that night, back at the hotel...and I was very impressed! It was great! We even went into their City Hall and walked through the library. From there, we drove around Frisco to get to know the area. We love doing this and seeing what the city has to offer. There are some really great things in Frisco: Baseball, hockey (and the Dallas Stars practice there plus their offices are there), basketball, soccer (who play at Pizza Hut Park), an incredible athletic center that even visitors can use, The Main Event, great restaurants and SHOPPING!!! We found some places we were definitely going to shop at on Saturday before the wedding. But for tonight, my hubs was very sweet to take me to Sam Moon!!! I got a few cute things, but didn't want to make him stay there too long. Its definitely more exciting for us girls! :) We were pretty exhausted and Ken was having some allergy issues, so we went back to the hotel to rest. We couldn't really decide on a place to eat until we remembered....In-N-Out Burger!!!! LOVE! I hadn't eaten there since high school when my family took a vacation to California, and Ken lived in CA for a little while and missed it as well! It was awesome!!!!! And, then it was time to call it a day!
