For Monday, we had grand plans for getting up early and hitting the gym...however, we didn't. We were so tired! We had coffee in the room and got dressed. We were heading out right at lunch time and were so excited that
Texas Land and Cattle was right next door. For the second time on this trip, we ate there for lunch. The exact same thing! :)

Now it was time to just start walking! We made our way around the River a couple times. Our first stop was definitely
The Zuni Grill! We had been told they win a local contest in San Antonio almost every year for having the best margarita (the one I talked about yesterday at our hotel is its top contender). The hubs definitely loved this one! I liked the one at our hotel better, but this one was different with prickly pear juice in it. We had the BEST waiter ever!!! He was so fun and personable and actually talked to us a long time! We really enjoyed his company....his name is Danny Ray if you go! :)

This is the river-view of
our hotel:
After one lap around the
Riverwalk, we headed up to the street level. We walked around the Alamo and then did a little shopping. We got this really great framed Texas emblem that is hanging in our living room. LOVE! And, then we hit the mall! We just window shopped, but we did make our regular stop at Starbucks! :)

They were already starting to get the Riverwalk ready for Christmas!!! I wish we could be there for their big lights-on ceremony! I bet its beautiful!!!

Our last stop before going back to our hotel was the
Mokara Hotel and Spa. Its actually the sister-hotel of the one we stayed at and just right across the river from us. We could go there and use the pool and gym with our hotel key. We wanted to take a look so we could be a little familiar with it. Both the pool and gym were on the roof and it was pretty cool!

It was time to get ready for our big date-night! :) Our favorite place to eat "fancy" is the
Chart House at the top of the
Tower of the Americas. Its a great experience and we really enjoy the food, as well.

We enjoyed the walk back to our hotel in the nice, breezy weather. It really wasn't too hot and storms were in and out while we were there, making it really nice to walk around.
Tuesday morning, we were up and at the gym! YAY for us! :) We took our time packing since we didn't have to check-out until noon. Plus, we decided to have one last meal on the river. And, again, we went back to Texas Land and Cattle. I know you probably think we're crazy, but that Signature Steak and Wedge Salad is so good...plus, its just a great lunch portion.
Our drive back was pretty uneventful....until we were in our favorite city! He planned the trip just right so we could be in Ft. Worth for dinner. We drove to the
West 7th district to eat at
Tillman's. We love being
downtown and did drive through it, but decided to try something new. We've had dessert at Tillman's before (the homemade s'mores), but never eaten a meal there. I had the BEST roasted chicken in my life! Seriously! It was awesome! We also did split the s'mores again. :) After dinner, we walked around. We love the area, but it was nice to be out of the car as well.
I don't think I have to say again how much we love Texas. We always look forward to a time when we can head south!
