30DT-Day 14

November 14, 2012 -

my husband -I didn't get to see KP until 10pm and we went into "work" mode getting everything ready for work tomorrow, so we could get in bed at a decent hour. With that said, I know he worked on homework all evening while I was gone. I'm so thankful for his dedication to getting his Masters. Some days I don't like this dedication b/c he has had to miss football games, but I am so thankful that he is such a hard worker. I'm thankful that he pushes himself to be better than he is today. I'm thankful that he strives to be successful for us as a family!

my family - Today, I'm thankful for my sister, Michelle. I love that we make it a priority to see each other every other week. We meet 1/2 way between our houses (about 45 mins away) and have dinner. I'm so thankful that God brought her into my life. We talked last night about we are always seeking to find a friend that lives in the same town that is our "go to" person for everything and neither of us have one. It hit me that I'm thankful that God isn't allowing anyone to take her place. I'm thankful she loves me unconditionally and that she encourages me to grow. I'm thankful that no one can and ever will take her place. I'm thankful that I need her. I thankful that she is my "go to" person! I know we don't live in the same town. We can't shop together or have coffee together without a plan and a free day, but I wouldn't give her up for anything in this world!

my friends - I am so thankful for my friend, Abby! She's beautiful and encouraging and a godly example to me. Abby lives in VA, but she and I have a relationship that time and space cannot change it. We met in college and became instant friends. God knew we'd be good for each other and we talk as often as we can. We are both so busy that sometimes finding a time for both of us to catch up just isn't possible. Abby is the one friend I can count on that will LOVE my ridiculously long phone messages. Since we know we probably won't get to talk, we both leave crazy long messages. I'm talking 4+ minute messages...and sometimes I leave a long one and call right back to leave another. :) I'm so thankful that I can ramble and tell her everything that is going on in a phone message and she hangs on every word. I'm thankful that she leaves me crazy, long messages too! I'm thankful that God has given us a bond that has been unbreakable!

Crying! I love you so much! I am sooooo thankful that I have you and that our friendship continues to grow the longer we know each other! Even though I sometimes get jealous of those with lots of close friends in their town, I don't think anyone has what we have! What we have is such a gift from God and I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING either!!!!! La, LA!

I just had to leave another comment to let you know that it took me like six tries to prove that I'm not a robot.... of course, if it takes me six more to get this posted, you may never read this b/c I will give up before then!
