Let's Talk Wedding: The Cake Tables

The Bride's Cake Table
My table had my sweet, perfect all white cake! :) I wanted the table to be all white, so I had the hotel wrap the table with a white skirt. The florist put white petals all over it. The cake was white, of course. And, I had two of our engagement pictures framed in white on the table. I was so pleased with The Renaissance! I sent bags with what I wanted on each table. I labeled the bags with what table the items were to go on. Everything was perfect! They did such a great job!!!!! I'm so thankful that they cared about my day and making it exactly how I wanted it.
My mom's parents' toasting glasses from their wedding. LOVE THEM!
My beautiful cake!
My AWESOME cake-topper! I have to brag a little b/c I made it and I was SO pleased at how it turned out! I wanted SO badly to get the real thing....the swarovski crystal ones. I'm so cheap that I couldn't bring myself to buy something that expensive. I wanted to out them in a shadow box and keep them, but still couldn't justify the cost. THANKFULLY, I didn't buy the expensive ones b/c this was the ONE thing that I never got back. I asked my mom, my best friend and even the hotel to see if they were ever "found", but no such luck. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm so thankful that they cost a total of $15!!!! I bought the mirrored letters from theknot.com which cost me a little over $11 for all three letters. Then I bought some rhinestone stickers from Hobby Lobby, in the scrapbook section, for about $3-4. I applied the stickers to the "P" only. It looked AMAZING! I was so happy with it and really proud of my creativity skills. :)
The Groom's Cake Table
Ken's table had his most favorite dessert. I was going to do a traditional cake b/c Ken didn't really care what his looked like. He didn't want anything that represented him (i.e. a deer), so I was going to do the typical chocolate. Then one day my mom asked him, "If you could have any dessert ever, what would it be?" There was absolutely NO pause...."White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, from The Cheesecake Factory!!!!" haha! So, my mom said, "That's what you're getting!". And, that is what we did! We got 8 White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cheesecakes! Sadly, Ken didn't even get a BITE....thankfully, Cheesecake Factory sells it everyday. :) I loved the cake plate displays. I loved the cut glass! I really stood out. I also wanted everything on his table to be in black since his tux was black. The votive candles were black with white rhinestones surrounding the top. I also framed two of our "cowboy" engagement pictures in black frames and had them on the table.
