January In Review

Well, January 2010 is behind us and I have to say its been a pretty boring and long month. I can be thankful for it coming and going quietly. I used to absolutely HATE January. For awhile, I felt like something bad happened every January in my life. So quiet is good. :) Here's what happened this last month:

~Brought in the New Year as a "Mrs."
~OSU lost the Cotton Bowl...my parents came to watch it at our house and I made dinner :)
~Visited with my friend Audrey, who came in from Mizzou
~Ken's shift at work changed and he has been MUCH happier!
~Started Tia's Pump and Tone class
~Addicted to my favorite season of "The Bachelor"
~Loving "The Biggest Loser"
~We got a new roof put on the house
~Ken started flight school and then had to drop his classes (I guess this could fall into my hatred of January)
~Went to a Scentsy party and fell in love with their products
~LOVE cooking!
~Disappointed to see Vikings lose out in the playoffs
~Continue to work on house and get it set up
~Still working 80% time and having Wednesdays off
~Met my new sweet nephew, Cannon
~Introduced Ken to sushi...and he liked it!
~Tia over for dinner
~Meeting at least 2x a month with my friend Lorinda
~Dinner with the Gosz Family!!! And I got them hooked on Scotch-A-Roo's :)
~Dinner with our pastor and his wife at the Holiday Inn
~Watching OSU Basketball (mom and dad have been down to watch a game with us)
~Ken and I make a horrible discovery of liking The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory that is new to Stillwater
~Ken hurt his knee very badly at an incident at work (can also be added to the yucky-January thing)
~Finally being able to go back to Sunday morning church service
~9 year anniversary of the OSU Plane Crash (and losing two of my close friends)...this is the event that started my hatred of January
~Movies I've watched: "Julie and Julia", "New In Town", "My Sister's Keeper", "State of Play", "Valkyrie", "The Perfect Getaway", "Public Enemies" and "All About Steve".
~We are constantly entertained by our "kids"~And, yes, don't forget that we have had the "snowiest" winter in a long time!!! I was off work from Thursday Jan. 28th at 1pm until the following Monday. Here are some pictures:
I just love the Red Birds (I know...I've been told already that they are CARDINALS, but I like to call them Red Birds!)

I love that you got some pictures with cardinals and the snow. I kept looking for them because it is always so pretty to see a spot of red in all of the white!
