"Proud and Immortal. Bright shines your name. Oklahoma State, we herald your fame. Ever you'll find us, loyal and true. To our Alma Mater, O-S-U!!!!"
Homecoming weekend! One of my favorite times!!!! The famous Walk-Around. Big Game. Seeing friends. Tradition. This year, was a little different for us. First of all, Ken didn't have his job that made him work weekends, so he was actually HOME! And, he got to go to the game with us!!! I was VERY excited about that!!!
Friday Night - We were looking forward to an early evening at the Walk-Around before going to TL's birthday party. However, it rained all day and the forecast showed that the rain was sticking around for the rest of the evening and night. Thankfully for everyone that traveled, the rain let up and Walk Around was a success. Ken and I ended up making the decision to just for-go Walk Around so we weren't rushed for the party. So, the few hours we did have, we got the house ready for our weekend company. The party was fantastic!!!!!! And, when we got home, our friends,
Jenn and Daniel were there waiting. This has become a tradition for us. Jenn and I were thinking about it and realized that this was probably the 5th year they've stayed with me. Its always really enjoyable to have them! This year was even better b/c they actually got to know Ken too.
Saturday - On Saturday, I got up and got ready and then was in the kitchen getting lunch ready...taco soup, chips and salsa, and dessert. We had a small pre-game party with my parents, one of my nephews and the
C-Family.

Of course, we had to have pre-game picture. :)

After the game, we had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant with my parents. Just as they were getting ready to leave, the C-Family showed up and we had dinner with them. After dinner, we celebrated Finley's birthday!!!!

Guess who shared a birthday with Finley??? Jenn!!!! I had a small cake for Jenn b/c you can't skip your birthday!!!!! :)

Sunday - We finished the weekend going to church and having lunch with friends. We couldn't leave without some pictures. Now, I post a few of these to give just a glimpse of the fabulous personality that Jenn has. I just love her!!! She has a big laugh that can fill the room and is completely infectious! She's beautiful in and out. She has a personality that shines and she is quite entertaining....just ask her how she met/started dating her husband. Or maybe one day she'll show you one of her famous "walks". :)

All in all it was a wonderful, event-filled weekend! We love having the M-Family stay with us! They are such a blessing to us and I love how God uses them and their ministry that they have. We'll be spending another weekend with them soon and we are definitely looking forward to it!

Dear OSU Homecoming,
I look forward to your return.

oh my! beth, it's a good thing that i've accepted who i am or else those pics might bring me to tears. ;-) we had SUCH a GREAT time with you & getting to know that hubadub of yours! we, too, are really looking forward to a little more time in a few days!!! but, this time, i fully intend to catch YOU making embarrassing poses. the sad part is that i think i might have been intentionally doing those ridiculous faces & such. eek! should we have an intervention?!
i love you, sweet friend!
p.s. isn't that boy of mine so cute?! and, thanks for cropping our family just right. i didn't want to be "that mom" who takes her kid in public wearing a diaper! ha.
Oh my gosh, JENN! You are ALWAYS beautiful!!!! And those pictures just show off your fun personality!!!!! :) I just love that part of you!!!!!
